SOUVENIR is a project of introspection.

Silk, softness and pastels, my three favourite mediums, forced themselves on me once again. I'd used them so much in my clothes and, strangely enough, I'd never really dealt with them here...

No inspirational photos of the place for once, but a deep dive into the softness of the night, which I'm trying to translate and paint with silk thread. A dream that has been with me since childhood. A comforting sense of well-being as I walk through the fields at night.

The fleeting illusion of an uncertain memory.

Am I dreaming or remembering at night?

Am I thinking or remembering at night?

Does the memory evoke a particular place? Does it symbolise or authenticate an experience?

The braid creates a crossroads and a link in this cerebral fog. The braids are placed independently in the pieces, navigating through the material, meeting at a certain point and then returning to their own paths.

A path that creates bridges between real life and the imaginary.
